    Because it’s the fact that she’s the teacher. A position of authority. It’s why a cop cannot have sex with someone who they pulled over, or why a psychiatrist cannot date their client.

        Technically correct!

        I’m willing to bet that the staff of the student is counted as a whole. Anyone on the payroll of that school would be equally guilty.

          I’m not sure they should be. At a large enough school, there’s plenty of staff you’d never interact with, a person you’d never know was a student or a teacher if you met them outside of school.

          Granted it’s still an ethical problem due to age, though I don’t know the age of consent law wherever this is. College is where it really gets less clear cut and more messy.
