Skibidi toilet is – or started out as – a Source Filmmaker Youtube poop. The first few videos were some heads popping out of toilets kind of nope.avi style while, if you’ll pardon the double entendre, scat singing.
This somehow got spun up into a multi-part war drama. I must reiterate: Somehow. The word “skibidi” has entered the iPad kid generation’s lexicon as either a nonsense word, a word meaning “nonsense” or I think I’ve heard it used the way Bill & Ted would use the word “bogus”.
There’s an interesting underlying message that I’m not sure is intentional, but yeah. Bunch of skibidi toilet “fun times” against the monitoring state engaged in war.
To me that says the only place where you’re unmonitored in on the shitter, which is accurate given how much of a walled Garden we, the “adults” put together for kids doing remote learning by locked down Chromebooks during COVID. Seems like the youth putting these together were expressing their frustration with basically having no freedom to express themselves or even explore and have fun during the lockdown because of all the restrictions in place; not just the restrictions related to COVID, but all of the restrictions that parents and teachers had the opportunity to enforce very strictly partly due to COVID lockdowns.
It’s a fascinating artistic statement from a pre-AI “art” era of only a few years ago.
Wait until people come up with other, older things to be nostalgic about. Like Shoop da Whoop or Ronald McDonald Insanity.
Peak 2000’s internet brainrot.
ahh I can’t believe people are nostalgic for the Harlem shake lol
I’m going to be saying the same about Skibidi Toilet in 10 years.
I’m not even sure what that means. I’m familiar with Harlem shake, but skibidi toilet?
The Internet is a weird place. I love it here.
Okay so.
