I keep hearing about ICE arresting 60+ year old manual laborers while they are working or busting down swap meets where people are buying tools and baby clothes.

They have a LOT of fire power with them at all times. They seem really scared. Like they are expecting a military scale conflict.

So it makes me wonder, is there any record of them actually going after “dangerous” individuals? People with actual cartel affiliation? People with actual guns who actually are willing to fight back against them?

Edit: follow up question. Have they ever even arrested someone who was armed but did not fight back?

There are sources claiming that 75% of those detained have current or pending charges while there are others claiming around only 8% have ‘serious’ charges. Imo there’s so many claims it’s a mystery

Depends how they define “criminal”. I imagine they think overstaying your visa is criminal. Or if you ever came into contact with a criminal, I imagine you’re in the criminal bucket too. One thing you can count on is their wild and pointless simplification and overzealous prosecution of laws. And you can also count on them wildly overspending for enforcement that has no value and high cost. Elderly will go without their meds in the US so the Ice incels can play Punisher law enforcement and deport people who paid their taxes and are no threat to anyone.
