Small farmers will go bankrupt and have to sell their farms that will be bought by corporations.

Everyone in here is like ‘yeah fuck those farmers’ not realizing who grows their food

Did they make the wrong choice? Yes.

Blaming them isn’t going to make food cheaper.

Seriously. What happened to working class solidarity?

You don’t build it by cheering for their suffering. You take the moment to teach them their mistakes and give them a chance to do better.

I get it, but if Trump excluded farmers from everything, they would still be flying Trump flags and “owning the libs”. They don’t give a fuck until it starts impacting them.

Yes. That is them currently, being ignorant and having their ignorance manipulated by our mutual enemy. That doesn’t make them our immediate enemies. That makes them fellow working class people who are being exploited, only in a different way.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of people, due to how the human mind is predisposed to work, operate solely on their own limited anecdotal experiences to get through life. Some of us learned how to think beyond this, that our limited experience meant our intuition was fundamentally flawed and we must change our opinions based on outside information even if it goes against our base intuition. Others were manipulated from a young age to trust this instinct and to use that instinct to judge if outside information is legitimate or not so that they could readily be fed information that intentionally is written with rhetoric designed to prey on this flawed logic.

So, unfortunately, if something doesn’t affect them or they aren’t directly exposed to the unjust consequences of these actions in a way they cannot just easily write off, they will not change their ways. So we have to expose them to it. We have to educate them.

Until the lines of armed resistance are drawn, our efforts should not be to outright ostracize but to educate and recruit, and to break the mental conditioning that our fellow working class people have been subjected to against their will.

Because they were conned and manipulated by being fed lies that preyed on their fears, insecurities, and ignorance while being raised on propaganda intentionally designed to brainwash them into voting against their own interests.

Seriously, think critically and remember that they too are fallible humans who are victims of the system.

So, again. What happened to your working class solidarity? Cause right now, I don’t see any, I just see someone spreading hate against the wrong enemy.

I just see someone spreading hate against the wrong enemy

Funny, I’ve been watching conservatives do exactly that for decades now while the rest of us try to reason with them. I grew up with Limbaugh convincing my dad that liberalism is a mental disorder and Clinton won the election because women vote with their vaginas. They’ve done nothing but get more disgusting, hateful, and bigoted since.

“Oh boo hoo they were conned and manipulated” How come I can consume the exact same media as them and see through the bullshit? I’m really supposed to feel sorry for them? We’ve been telling them for decades they’re being lied to; they enjoy it.

I’m done. Fuck every single one of these fascist-enabling pieces of shit AND their fucking feelings. I’m not gonna cry when some fucking dipshit who has the exact same access to information that I do and can’t be bothered to verify their news sources gets exactly what they voted for.

People who go out of their way, and to their own detriment support a system of racism, sexism and xenophobia, are people who deserve any hate aimed at them. There’s no solidarity for someone who would intentionally hurt themselves to hurt others more.

So you willingly abandon your working class solidarity and just become another small minded person spreading working class hate and division. You’re part of the problem.

I too live in a small rural town. I’m deep in the heart of Southern Louisiana. I’m all too familiar with people flying their flags of ignorance and hate.

That doesn’t give you an excuse to sink to their level of blind hatred because it is easier than seeing the person behind it and understanding that they are as much a victim of the system as anyone else.

Are you aware of the term scab in the union world? One doesn’t forgive a scab.

            This situation is no different.

You cannot have solidarity with people who will betray you. You are part of the problem. They are part of the problem. People not allowing themselves to be fooled are not.

What the fuck solidarity is there in siding with the very people trying to strip away the working class? They had the same access to information as anybody else and they chose to ignore the warnings and double down.

Form solidarity with the ones who aren’t actively trying to ruin everything, because the zombies have made it very clear whose side they’re on.

Where is their solidarity with the working class? It is nowhere to be seen. They hate solidarity. They piss on it. They deliberately voted against it. And now they cry crocodiles tears when they become victims of their own decision. And usually blame it on others instead of questioning their own choices.

They don’t know solidarity! We have to teach them! That’s the point! They are stupid and uneducated wage slaves who have been duped by the people who are actually in control, our shared enemy. They just don’t understand that we are not their enemy. Yea, there are a percentage of them who are just vitriolic, hateful, violent individuals that the community will need to defend themselves against. That’s another topic. The vast majority of people, though, are just plain stupid, going through life day by day just trying to get by and not understanding, because they have been duped by a system purposely designed to prey on them.

Fucking goddamn I am tired of people misunderstanding the entire point of solidarity. I’m not saying to fucking sing kumbaya with them. Yes, they cry crocodile tears and cry the victim. Yet they blame it on the wrong person because they have been intentionally deluded into doing so. Be mad, get in their face and oppose their views. I’m not saying just sit and take it lying down. Just don’t fucking attack them as a person; that isn’t going to do anything except make them defensive. Oppose the ideology and educate them on how they are wrong. Expose the mistake and force them to confront it. Point your anger at the real fucking enemy.

No, it won’t always work. It takes concentrated effort and repeated exposure to challenge someone’s deeply held beliefs. They haven’t been radicalized yet. We need to, as a political movement, have the strategy to capitalize on these moments where they have finally been confronted with a situation that exposes the flaws in what they have been told and do the leg work to radicalize these individuals. We all have that moment where we were radicalized against the system. They need theirs. They will never have it though if they are attacked for their mistakes instead of given the chance and tools needed to question and learn from them.

That is probably a majority by now. They are dug in so deep into this shit, they cannot see the sun anymore.

                Just don’t fucking attack them as a person;

I attack them as an ideology: The fascist “I am better than others” ideology they have.

                No, it won’t always work.

Well, there’s a hot take if I ever saw one. A strawman, a bot accusation, some fascinatingly false takes, and a little oh-poor-me as the cherry on top.

How about an alternate theory: people are just tired of being told by people like you to ‘just be nice’ to the person who keeps punching them in the face?
