Key Points
- Tesla’s Q1 2025 earnings showed a 71% drop in net income and a 9% decline in revenue.
- Elon Musk attributed some of Tesla’s struggles to “rapidly evolving trade policy” and “changing political sentiment.”
- Analysts express concerns about near-term uncertainty for Tesla, linking the company’s future to Musk’s involvement with the White House.
And there stocks price went up 7% today …
If anyone still needs proof that financial speculation and stock valuations are as real as fairies, here you go.
If you but a Tesla, you are a Nazi collaborator.
9% decline in revenue.
Those are rookie numbers. We gotta pump those numbers up!
Seriously though, we need to be forcing a 71% drop in gross revenue, not just profit. A 71% drop in profit is not the same as a loss.
They were in the red for years. Would be cool to see losses in the billions.
Elon Musk attributed some of Tesla’s struggles to “rapidly evolving trade policy” and “changing political sentiment.”
Considering how much he paid to get trump in office…
I feel like both those problems are things Elmo is personally responsible for
The public political sentiment never changed, Elon just decided to openly choose fascism. This is peak victim blaming.
Are you saying Elon is a victim?
No, Elon saying “changing political sentiment” as the reason Tesla is failing is victim blaming. He basically slapped us in the face and then told us that it’s OUR fault we won’t buy his cars any more.
Ok, thanks for the clarification lol. I read that in a way that was like, alright even Elon would have a hard time convincing himself of this. My bad.
All good, there’s never a problem with asking a clarifying question!
Let’s just kill them. That is the only way we take this back.
Bullying the bullies works. Keep it up!
Remember: it is your patriotic duty to vandalize Teslas.
When can we start vandalizing Tesla owners? 6 months? That should be fair right? If they bought a $100k + car, they should have the financial freedom to get rid of it by now, right? I’m done with the bumper stickers. That doesn’t save you anymore.
How much off their profit is tax credit related?
If I read well, more than 100% of the profit was tax rebates, i.e. without government subsidies they would have lost money
I wonder if their accounting is still showing the ones that Canada was refusing to pay out due to suspected fraud? Thinking they may get them back in court. If so, that could make it look even worse. Fingers crossed.
As a special government employee, Musk has 130 days per calendar year to work for the federal government. That window is set to expire in late May.
I love the taste of schadenfreude in the morning <Chef’s kiss>
