Not Hawaii at least in my opinion. The military foothold is too high, California might have a similar problem but the state is so much bigger that I don’t think that it is as much of an issue. I think Alaska is most likely though. Might pull a Texas and succeed and then ask to become a part of Canada.

There have been nation wide protests basically every week since he was elected. They have been picking up in intensity and I’m sure that the next one will follow that trend.

I know you want people to march on the streets and start just shooting politicians but people have families that will not be able to eat without their income.

I just like lemmy more and the community around it just seems much more bearable. I don’t constatly think I hate lemmings like I thought about redditors when I was on reddit.

I think that’s the reason people don’t know how to feel. It will hurt the companies a little but the workers are going to be fucked.

Which is why anyone under 18s income should be tax free. If you want to bring back child labour at least make it consistent.

It really has been noticable that they are everywhere now. I see them mostly from .world and SJW. The ones on DB0 are so confusing to me though because it is explicitly anarchist.

It is truly amazing what people have pinned on Obama. I have seen several people that blamed Obama’s lax border security for 9/11 happening and I really do wish I was joking.

The TSA regularly has people get more handsy than they need to.

I really do feel like people are taking the word of the state far too easily for something that feels so sketchy.

Maybe I am stupid but I feel like things like this will be looked at as silly in the future because clearly we have already hit the recession. The only question that we have left at this point is if it will evolve into a full blown depression.

Maybe a hot take but career politicians are something that make sense in a democracy that is properly functioning. If a politician is sure that they won’t have to go work in industry after they are out of office they are less likely to feel the need to bend to the will of the oligarchs. But that is not how it has worked out so the idea itself seems much worse than it inherently is.
