Summary

Donald Trump is seeking “temporary presidential immunity” to delay or dismiss a civil lawsuit filed in Delaware by co-founders of Trump Media & Technology Group, who accuse him of blocking their full stake in the company.

Trump argues that defending lawsuits during his presidency would distract from his official duties, citing the burden of managing numerous pending cases.

His legal team claims state court lawsuits undermine the presidency.

This effort follows broader Supreme Court rulings expanding presidential immunity, though critics cite concerns over accountability.

I mean take literally any of these executive orders and swap them for a democrat. We’d all still be pissed off and conservatives would be absolutely RABID.

I heard cons saying that biden pardoning his family was an admission of guilt and while I don’t approve of the move I get it considering the language put forth and the branches of government that are backing him

He also pardoned Fauci and a bunch of other people because the republicans specifically said they were going to try to get revenge against them for things like prosecuting Jan. 6 rioters.

It was a rare moment where the Democrats actually acknowledged that maybe the Republicans aren’t acting in good faith and maybe don’t care about “decorum”. About several decades too late but whatever, it’s what happened.

Yeah… No. They took the high road for what that’s worth but they are not actively giving him more power/immunity

Your definition of taking the high road sure is different than mine. All just to end up in the same gutter. Powerless except to pardon their friends and family, powerless except to make millions insider trading and shady deals.
