Recently started seeing a medication provider who’s been treating me for what she believes to be bipolar type 2, so I’ve had the help of medication. But, damn. I’ve missed a week of work over the past three, I’ve lapsed on alcohol like 5 or 6 days, last month, and I’ve just been feeling hopeless. I don’t want to lose my job, but actually getting to work has been laborious. I just want Winter over, already. It hasn’t been a month, and I’m exhausted. /rant

That sounds like a super rough time. I’m sorry to hear it. I hope your new meds help level you out soon.

    Times are tough right now.

Just hang in there, and try to leave time during the day to decompress and de-stress, however you do that best - although hopefully without alcohol. I hope you have friends and family around to help support you as well.

Better times come if we hang on and just try to improve what we can, little by little as we gain the energy to do so.

I don’t really have anything else much to offer, but just know you have an internet stranger who’s really rooting for you, and wishing you the best.

I really appreciate the kind words, man. I am fighting against the depression, it just feels crushing, sometimes. I appreciate that I can just air some of my problems out, in hopes that kind folks like you will offer support. I very much appreciate your sentiments.

I feel you man and I’ve been there myself. It fucking sucks. Whenever mine got bad I always noticed that the more work I missed the harder it was to go back to work. It’s a viscious cycle. And it makes the prospect of going to work feel like trying to drag yourself through a pile of broken glass. Just hang in there and muddle through. Depending on how long ago you started your meds and what you’re on they could be still ramping up. It can take months for some meds to fully stabilize. The only thing you can do is hang in there and do whatever you can when you can.
