- Mine would be Flight B741 by King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard https://youtu.be/Ik-gBAlEbQY - WOO
- That’s fucking beautiful Long live King Jizz!

- The New Sound by Geordie Greep though this was a stellar year for albums imo and it’s hard to pick just one - Agree with the whole comment but yeah I love every song of The New Sound, especially The Magician. Also I “discovered” black midi at the beginning of the year and was sad to learn they splitted, thankfully Greep released this masterpiece.

- Absolute Elsewhere by Blood Incantation.
- Songs of a Lost World by The Cure
- Ooh another opportunity to yell from the rooftops how great “Nobody Loves You More” by Kim Deal is! :) Honestly a fully fantastic album that I love. :) - “Romance” by Fontaines DC was another brilliant one! - ooh and the new Cure album! - Still haven’t listened to the new Cure album. But Romance is probably my AOTY. Nobody Loves You More is great.

- The only “real” album that came out in 2024 that I listened to start-to-finish was Hyperdrama by Justice. It got a lot of flak online for being “uninspired” etc etc, but I think that mostly speaks to how great their first two studio albums were. The opening track on this one features Tame Impala and has an equally awesome music video. - After that, second place would be a tie between two 2024 live albums: ¡Blow it … at Madison’s Quinceañera! by Me First and The Gimme Gimmes and Beast of Horns by They Might Be Giants. I got the latter on vinyl for Christmas and it’s a lot of fun if you’re a fan. - Hey someone else who likes Justice and They Might Be Giants! - Missed that they had a new album, thanks!

- Definitely a tie between Where Have “All The Merrymakers Gone?” (Harvey Danger), “Example” (Four Squirrels), and “Four” (Blues Travelers). Definitely my most played and favorite albums of 2024. - As of this year, it’s looking like “Ten Thousand Fists” (Disturbed) is taking the lead as my favorite. We could see an upset folks! - I’m not trying to shit on your here but really? A bunch of 90s bands putting out old age money grabs? I assume you didn’t mean to misspell Blues Traveler. - And I’m waiting for the punch like this person has to have a good one and it’s fucking Disturbed? Ohh ah ah ah ah, Disturbed? Yeah I liked them when I was a young teen when that came out. Fuck my life I came to this thread hoping for new shit. You have to be joking. - I’m not even the person you’re replying to, but you’re formally invited to kiss my ass anyway. When op asked for “your” album of the year, they didn’t mean you specifically.
- Didn’t realize I put the extra “s” in “Traveler”. Also, to each their own. Never got to experience any of these albums growing up since I wasn’t there to experience the 90s and was too young to be able explore the 2000s metal scene until at least the 2010s (if I had become interested in it) and appreciate it. So, I definitely stick with picking stuff I’ve started listening to relatively recently over something new, especially since I’m not a big fan of modern English pop music and don’t have any albums from any foreign bands/singers I like (assuming they still do CDs).
- I’m with Ace, I don’t think I could name an album from the past 5 years. Artists and songs, sure, but I’m not looking up album titles, or even listening to an entire one from start to finish.

- Imaginal Disk by Magdalena Bay, though almost shared 1st place with Charli XCX’ BRAT remix album. - Thought I’d see more BRAT in this thread. I guess lemmy just doesn’t serve cunt like I’d hoped.

- PowerNerd by Devin Townsend
- CHROMAKOPIA
- Do Not Go To War With The Demons Of Mazandaran by Lowen.
- Erosion / Avulsion by Hidden Mothers
- Bloom & Decay by Dawn Treader
- Absolute Elsewhere by Blood Incantation
- Hellfenlic by The Infernal Sea
 - I haven’t listened yet but holy shit that first album cover is the most realistic depiction of the shit I see while tripping. Mate that with Mayan shit and mating in general. Although it already has the mating down. - I like Sleep.

- They had a hard act to follow after their nearly perfect self-titled album, but Cure was almost as good, and that is mighty praise indeed.
- The year just started, I haven’t even had a chance to record my annual 12 Farts Of The Year yet…
- Brat
- definitely aura safari - sensory blending
