Summary

A French court has conditionally approved the release of Lebanese militant Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, jailed for 40 years for the 1982 murders of U.S. and Israeli diplomats.

His release, set for December 6, requires him to leave France but is pending an appeal by prosecutors.

A former Marxist militant with ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Factions (LARF), Abdallah has long been eligible for parole but was repeatedly denied.

His lawyer hailed the decision as a political victory, while critics, including the U.S., oppose his release. Abdallah remains unrepentant for his actions.

Good. The dude was accused of killing a CIA and a mossad agent, during wartime, and from a country that got invaded. No matter what you think of his struggle, he’s a soldier.
