    Do you get this upset when people change their names? That was also recorded at birth. I would say that’s a lot more consequential then simply changing the stated gender.

      The birth certificate doesn’t typically get changed when you change your name. But yeah, I would disagree with both things equally. I don’t think we should change birth certificate at all. I actually think it’s a dangerous thing to start doing.

        That’s very silly. People have augmented birth certificates for decades. No one cared until the GOP set their sights on LGBT people against these past years. This is the same crap they pulled with mail in ballots. We’ve had states doing it since the 70’s and no one batted an eye until the GOP suddenly realized it was to their advantage to attack it. Just like birth certificates now.

        How on earth could it be considered dangerous?
