NB : you require some savings before you do this, otherwise you just become homeless.

Remember kids, time is money, but money is also time.

Source : Took a year long sabbatical and moved continents and started a family. Please help me, the DGI is on my ass.

          Yeah, definitely trolling

I refuse to believe anyone is stupid enough to see this as a realistic option

How dare you reference one of my favourite Radiohead songs in an attempt to mischaracterise me. I do indeed make changes and take risks. My current life choices are all calculated risks. It’s just rather out of touch to think everyone is able to sell everything they own on some extreme gamble.

You have to already own a lot of things in the first place to make much doing that.

You need to already be able to drive to even make use of a van.

Also, don’t misquote me. I don’t call people with different lives stupid. I call people stupid if they believe stupid things, such as “anyone can easily become a van lifer and would enjoy doing so”.

              You. Are. Out. Of. Touch.

you wanted a call to adventure

                  What makes you say that?

                  i gave you one…

No, you gave me an out of touch fantasy.

read those lyrics again… it’s a great song

I don’t need to. I’ve known that song over a decade. It speaks to the ills of living under capitalism.

                  yes, you called me stupid

                  Well done.

you’re stupid if you think i’m trying to tell you every step of the way

                  I didn’t say such a thing.

                  like “get a driver license”

You ignored mentioning that because you know it’s becoming increasingly out of reach.

you could get a fucking boat

You think I can afford one? Or a boating license? Or the lessons? You’re just assuming I already have this money, or the means to get it. That’s why you’re out of touch.

the whole point is choosing your own adventure

I already am, you idiot, that’s what I told you.

i’m trying to remind you that you are not stuck

                  I didn’t say I was “stuck”.

you are not too old to have opportunity for adventures

I didn’t say this, either. I didn’t say anything about adventure at all.

you are comfortable and you are afraid of change

I am uncomfortable and I want change. You are, in fact, stating the opposite of the truth.

it quite common, really… but we’re not stupid

You’re only stupid if you continue believing this is as simple as you say, from your position of privilege.
