The question here is not the tactics that you can draw on whiteboard. Remember how well tactics worked in Uvalde.

Teachers put guns down or lose them. Or kids get in fights with teachers. What then? Or the shooter targets the teacher first and pockets the extra weapon.

Your final point is misleading. Most schools don’t contain guns most of the time, unless it’s the school pig carrying. If 10 teachers start carrying, you’ve just added 10x more weapons.

Secure them obviously. If your teacher is dumb enough to leave a gun out, should they even be teaching?

That’s an extremely unacceptable mistake. We can’t have senile people teaching and protecting our kids. Would you want Trump or Biden as a history teacher?

Not that dumb of a mistake. For one, why would a teacher have their gun out when there isn’t a shooter? It should pretty much be locked down at all times. School shootings are rare believe it or not.

If they are rare why would the teacher need a gun?

You think there would be a higher chance for a mistake to happen instead of saving the day.

That could be true though impossible to know. More importantly is the count of lives lost. If you can stop a shooter before they kill the next ten kids, how much of that compares to the likelihood of mistakes? Also consider the likelihood of the teachers being armed simply deterring potential shooters. We’ve already established that most of them are planning to die in their shootings anyhow, but it’s still a factor.

You should be strapped with fifteen guns, patrolling all the classrooms.

You’d have the training and bravery to save all the kids and teachers wouldn’t need to add another job to their already busy schedule.
