Well, that was almost 9 months ago. Things have stabilized now. Lemmy.world is fine. I like lemm.ee. There are plenty of others if those aren’t to your taste ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you want something smaller try blahaj.zone or sh.itjust.works.
