That’s more damage than any plausible pet deposit can hope to cover. It was absolutely disgusting.

Sure, but you’re also forced to carry rental insurance…often you have to pay “pet rent”, the deposit never returns for anyone so stealing someone’s deposit should account for the actual damages caused by other pets…unless they’re just pocketing all of that (spoiler alert: they are).
