From fucking Xitter moderation in the article even:

"Video has been edited. Pelosi actually says, “Go back to China where your headquarters is”

Way to fall for the disinformation.

Now the real question is “is that organization actually headquartered in China?” Because that would be quite the coincidence…

I said something similar when she claimed it was Russia pushing protests, but maybe she could be right. Both China and Russia are known to use agents provocateur, and have an interest in sowong discord in the US.

That’s not a defense for supporting a genocide. Leaders in the west are making it easy for foreign agents to lather up protesters because they provide plenty of material for their pamphlets. If there were no valid complaints, then the efforts would become far more transparent and far less effective.

Exactly, and we should know how to handle this, when this same thing happened back in the day with KGB agents stirring up shit about Jim Crow, lawmakers said “y’know what, you’re right” and passed the Civil Rights Acts

Well they passed the CRA after decades of deriding anyone who supported civil rights. They blacklisted a lot of people for exactly that

Yeah, that’s true, I guess I was just hoping we could skip to the end of the story this time since we know how it turns out

In the context portion of the community note, there’s a link to a NYT article about the shady funding of one of the board members of Code Pink and a big donor to anti-war protestors like them.

He claims to not work with/for the Chinese government but from the article:

But Mr. Singham, 69, himself sits in Shanghai, where one outlet in his network is co-producing a YouTube show financed in part by the city’s propaganda department. Two others are working with a Chinese university to “spread China’s voice to the world.” And last month, Mr. Singham joined a Communist Party workshop about promoting the party internationally.

I can’t tell, and none of the articles I’ve seen about this mention, if these protestors were Code Pink or one of the groups associated with Sigham.

EDIT: I want to make clear, I’m not trying to justify or support the article or the shitty person who originally tweeted it, just pointing out the context for the actual statement Pelosi made about going “back to China where your headquarters is”

This ~account exclusively posts articles from this one website~ whoops, that was someone else. Well, this website is rife with shady writing and topics.

Mild disinformation and biased reporting is probably the point.
