UK is generally shite - and probably getting worse. intercity trains and local bus services are probably better than average USA - if there even is such an “average” for USA. I don’t think much in the UK is as good as say NYC though - and if there is - say maybe central London, it’s fucking expensive. I recall from years ago buses and metro in NYC being quite cheap - but not like continental Europe levels of cheap.

Good job UK is not in Europe anymore - bringing the equally meaningless EU average down.
