I don’t have a car but someone close to me does. Mostly for visiting family outside the city. I’ve said this often enough when we’re stuck in traffic that now she just looks at me and preemptively says "don’t say it!’

*Lobbyists love defunding alternatives. The general population are some mix of “don’t give a shit” and “we need better public transportation.”

I have no choice but to drive for a living (I visit hospice patients in their homes and need to bring too much stuff with me to make public transportation an option even if it were.) Days I’m not working would be much more enjoyable to not have to drive even more.

Yeah im all for more drivers off the road, because most of them are awful and distracted. Leave the roads for those of us with motorsport experience and cars that we can enjoy on the road without traffic. We dont need 3000000 f-350s hauling 1 grandma.

I drive a BRZ and can handle Calabogie without much issue and I realized today that I need to drive it because it’s sat for a couple weeks. Been taking the metro everywhere. There could be no one on the road and far more often than not I’d still rather take public transit.
