Am currently sitting in my back courtyard, discussing a perfectly ripe camembert (thank you Cheaper Buy Miles), a glass of white wine and the first of the ripe figs straight off the tree. Life is good. The last of the peaches awaits the end of the cheese. This is a nice evening.

I’ve barely bought any regular priced cheese in years. I’ve been rolling with whatever the food op shop offers.
This sounds amazing. Hell yes for a bargain on cheese, fruit and a lovely evening.
It took a while to grow the trees, but now I can look forward to such evenings on an annual basis. The peach tree was planted during covid, so this is the first really good crop I’ve had from it. Ditto the fig tree.
I have discovered the pest that has been eating my young corn plants. Mr Woof apparently thinks they are a great snack. Anyone else have a dog with a grass fetish?
I have pots of cat grass outside. Its not the cats who eat it, its the dog who attacks it like it needs punishment every time you walk out the door with her.
I had one that demolished whole rows of raspberries. The cats totally have a grass fetish.
Yeah. My dog likes to shit on the longest piece of grass he can find. I don’t know why.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed and irritable tonight. Playing Mario Galaxy was not a good idea. Now watching drone footage of cities and beautiful places set to calming music.

Today I am super tired and emotional, and have not achieved much with work. There’s a new house being built nearby and they started with the multiple nail guns very early this morning, probably trying to beat the heat. I was already having a terrible night’s sleep as well. It’ll be an earlier night tonight so that I’ve hopefully had a decent sleep by the time they start up again tomorrow 😞

Got a workspace. Funnily enough, spent the while morning cleaning it because it was horrifically dusty, just after having spent the whole day on Sunday cleaning up my workspace at home for rather much the same reason.
At least there is air conditioning in the building.

Ugggghhh my guts are very unhappy today 😭 bad timing with the rag (though highly amusing I keep syncing with Eagle lol), and general nerves have caused my guts to feel like Burning Man is happening in there
Gotta go out today. Get some nice clothes from Savers for partner, and some dark red lipstick for me, for the wedding. Then Bunnings for cat food, and shops for some groceries and cleaning supplies.
Still have to clean the toilet, but that’s a “sometime this week during the evening” chore, and the other minor chores I’ll offload onto partner as I’ll be working full-time.
After this week, things should quiet down and I can just focus on this job and reaching the small goals.
Edit: haven’t gone out yet, partner hasn’t been paid yet lol. Always seems to be the case that pay is early on days it doesn’t matter, and then takes the age of the Universe on days it does matter 🤦♀️

Not allowed to build a little viewing thing up there but it’d be nice. Chuck a bbq up, little bar fridge, maybe a pizza oven. Nice n’ simple spiral staircase to get up there. One can dream.
