Frankly, the fact that we’re able to temporarily turn off fertility at will at all is extraordinary, tradeoffs or not.
I of course can understand a woman who can’t find a method that works for her wanting her male partner to use a condom if she doesn’t want to get pregnant. Personally, as a male in the position of her partner, I would sympathize, but would rather have non-penetrative sexual contact, or none at all, rather than presentative sex with a condom, because they take the majority of the pleasure out of the act, for me.
