An impeachment effort against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem will “move forward,” members of Congress are promising, after the effort was announced last week in the wake of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer fatally shooting a United States citizen in Minneapolis.
“We’re gonna move forward to impeach Kristi Noem,” Representative Angie Craig, a Minnesota Democrat, vowed during an interview with MS Now on Sunday.
In a press release, Democratic Representative Robin Kelly‘s office said that the 3 articles of impeachment would allege Noem “abused her office for personal benefit and steered federal dollars to associates,” “willfully obstructed Congressional oversight and withheld Congressionally appropriated funds in violation of her constitutional oath and federal law” and “compromised public safety, violated due process of American citizens, and directed unconstitutional actions.”
So the Big Beautiful Bill when first passed did not require democrat votes, but that funding was only set for 2 months before the end of the fiscal year.
In October 2025 that funding was placed into the budget which ultimately was approved by senate democrats.
They didn’t even talk about it during the shutdown. Truthfully they didn’t even seem to care about it.
Anyway we know how that went they caved and gave the Republicans what they wanted. They had the chance to claw back that funding, but they didn’t
Giving up on their filibuster, while shitty, is absolutely not approval, so please stop lying and saying it is.

Okay, so again, this is what myself and others were saying. After weeks of watching republicans try to drive the car off a cliff, a few dems caved. Disappointing, but not what your previously comments implied.
How? They voted to allow the bill forward allowing the republican majority to easily pass it.
Those 9 dems should be primaried out. That’s what I said
