Via Rail train with passengers on board derails in Bas-Saint-Laurent after collision

A Via Rail train derailed after colliding with two semi-trailer trucks in Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska.

According to Noovo Info, both drivers were sleeping in their trucks when they were violently struck at 1:30 a.m.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the truck drivers had parked too close to the railroad tracks.

      There has been some deregulation going on recently. At least, that’s what everybody’s saying here, I don’t have an official source.
