The white people upset about this are not the white people who care that she was white.
Changed it. Old version:

Many of the people upset were also upset about George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and more, calling for the dissolution of police and their replacement with more helpful programs.
Get out of here with your nonsense
I changed it but I won’t quit. How about concentrating on the real problem here?

They don’t seem to have mentioned anything about you quitting.
Well she was a white woman fighting for the rights of non white people, but let’s create extra racism where it doesn’t exist. She didn’t die because she was white, she died because she was protecting her neighbors.
Maybe I’m not up to date, but she wasn’t doing anything in activism; she was an innocent mom caught up in a growing authoritative movement with no restrictions on it. Of course it shouldn’t matter her skin color or what she was doing, any murder is just that, but to say she was on any side might give just a crack of argument to the murderer’s. He simply killed a woman in public because of the power given to him to do it by the state (or the lack of any oversight or rules, if you want to look at it that way). And he’s not the only one out there with this kind of personality of wanting to use that power and control, so we’ll see even more of this.
They were all out to warn their neighbors, they had whistles and recordings.
Got it, so I guess she had dropped her daughter off at school and then went to fulfill her civic duty. Can’t get more idealistic American than that… and she got murdered for it.
And NOW more stories hit my feed confirming that. Oh well, as long as it gets out there eventually.
she was killed in spite of her whiteness
what OP is pointing out is blatant murder of innocents by law enforcement is nothing new in the US, it’s been happening to POC (mostly Black and Indigenous people) for centuries now, and still to this day.
on new year’s eve, Keith Porter, a Black man, was murdered by an off-duty ICE agent. not only did few people talk about it, the few that did are doing it like I’m doing it right now, after Good’s death, to raise awareness about the very racialized violence of ICE.
note, too, that when we talk of ICE’s victims, it’s usually the canadians visiting family or the european tourists being caught in the crossfire. despite them being neither ICE’s main targets nor its main victims.
i’ve seen far less coverage of the people killed in ICE’s prisons, some of them named at the end of the article i linked, than of the norwegian guy who was detained because he had the jd vance meme on his phone.
Since we’re talking Minneapolis, Justine Damond 's case comes to mind. Her murderer is already free.
