I can get someone to bring me gas if I pushed my luck, not so with an electric.
You could have someone roll up with a generator if necessary. But be honest, how often do you end up deep in the woods without enough gas to get back to town?
I live in Montana. Nobody is more than a tank of gas away from a gas station without making very bad decisions. So you’re either making shit up for the sake of argument or an extreme edge case that just isn’t the target market for EV trucks. Which makes your idea of “realistic” irrelevant.
What’s bizarre is they literally are just worried about not being able to “push their luck” by carrying an extra canister of flammable liquid around. Like that’s sensible.
Ok, so don’t push your luck? It’s not super hard. Or do it and don’t be a coward. Call a truck and get rescued like everyone else.

Enough where I learned a lesson and plan better.
So it’s an extremely rare event that can be solved with a little bit of thinking ahead. Should that really be part of your purchasing decision?
I can easily extend my range in the woods by carrying an extra gallon(s) of gas… Then fill up on the return trip home. That’s thinking ahead…
Do you normally do 200-300 miles into the wilderness?
It happens often enough where I went and bought expensive gas cans…

I had to move a crusty couch in 2016 for my buddy JD, I drive an F350 since.
