I don’t get this perspective. Obviously being gay is a “bad thing” in these contexts because the person in question is vocally homophobic. The insult isn’t being gay, the insult is being a hypocrite.

I mean, if he is such a bad guy, then surely his actions are enough to use against him and not make up random grade school nonsense? Even if he was a gay hypocrite, that’s irrelevant to why he’s bad.
