I hope this is allowed. SO and I were about to buy a cute cat painting print thing, then I realized it was just from some company and that I’m sure I can find something just as cool from an actual person and try to help keep art alive.

Where are the best places to do this? I’m not looking for like “fine art” or expensive art, just looking to support some artists by buying some prints to hang up.

I’d like to be able to search like certain keywords I guess, honestly I’m not too into classical arts so any guidance would be cool.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve seen a lot at local (suburban) art fairs, usually in the summer, spring and fall. Even at some summer festivals they’ll have a craft fair area and there is always someone selling their art.

      I do love that.

That’s not going to help me right now, but I never get out and this might make me do that

      Excellent suggestion.

        Following up with this.

Since I pulled everything off social media to become an ephemeral artist, markets are my main source of art sales. Lots of community centers, schools, churches, small venues and art galleries host local art markets, you just have to know where to find the info. Public libraries and community message boards are good places for that.

You might not have to go anywhere far or socialize too much to find your closest artists. Plus, you get to meet them.

Be wary, though. Some art markets have strict rules on only allowing artists who make their own work while others let just about anyone in, including MLMs. Usually the trashier the venue, the better (and more affordable) the art.

Technically you could browse etsy art section. You could find hand painted real stuff there.
Tho it is kinda a dumpster fire for prints.
You could use search terms like this: “cute cat mixed media painting” or “cute cat watercolor painting”
