I saw people cry when this song played. Holding their loved ones, while their machines got close to a near death experience unpacking the games.
I saw people asking “how fit is FitGirl really?” Or “is FitGirl really a girl?”.
On my search for truth I found this FAQ on this site.
Only read if you are prepared
Here’s a little FAQ about me, since I’m making repacks from 2014 and I’m getting a lot of similar questions.
Q: Are you really a girl? A: [sigh] Next question, please.
Q: When will you crack game N? A: Never. I’m not a cracker, I’m a repacker. I can’t even program things. My knowledge is about compression, not cracking.
Q: Please-please-please repack game M, I want it so much! A: I don’t accept requests. I mean it. Don’t ask me to make a certain repack, I will ignore it. Wait for “Day of Requests”, when I allow requesting.
Q: How do you decide to make a repack for a certain game? A: Too many variables in each decision: complexity of the game, compressibility, weather and so on.
Q: Could you please reupload repack Z – all magnets, torrents and filehosters are dead! A: If this repack was released more than 3 months ago – sorry, no reuploads and no seeding. My seedboxes are space limited and I don’t have enough donations to get more.
Q: What’s your name and where do you live? A: My name is not important and currently I live in Latvia, though I was born in Russia and lived there for almost all my childhood.
Q: Do you have a Facebook page? A: I didn’t, don’t and won’t have a Facebook page. The same applies to Twitter, Instagram, whatever else. This site is the only official FitGirl Repacks source. If you happen to come here from “Facebook FitGirl Page” – you’ve been fooled by an imposter.
Q: Why do you make repacks? A: I found data compression fascinating. Yes, it’s very strange for a girl, but as you already noticed, I’m not a usual girl.
Q: How do you compress games? With what tools? A: I use mostly FreeArc for compression and Inno Setup as an installer. Some games require other compressors, but in 99.9% of cases it’s FreeArc.

Q: What other repackers would you recommend? A: RG Mechanics, RG Revenants, RG Catalyst, Xatab, El Amigos, Kapital Sin, KaosKrew (rips). You’re pretty safe with those.

In following article, Andy Maxwell reports how even Google acknowledged Fitgirl as a musical artist, giving her a special display on searches.
But I feel there might be dark paths, charlatans claiming to posess the wisdom of FitGirl and owning “The ONLY official site for FitGirl repacks”, like this (which my guardian uBlockOrigin blocks as a “Badware risk”) or this random Github repo linking to another suspect website.
I warn you to be careful, as this is the ONLY official website for FitGirl repacks.

Torrenting has inherent dangers, downloading something and executing it on your Computer can place any number or variation of viruses on your system.
It is nice to have an uploader you trust, as once a torrent is out and proven safe, it remains safe. But you could also just fake being any uploader and nobody could prove otherwise, until no one seeds the infected torrent anymore.
Yess. Getting torrents from the website only makes sense. Pretty sure jackett supports it too

That said, the reason she’s popular is because the repacks are highly compressed (useful for thrid world countries), safe, very easy to use making her an entry point for alot of people getting into video game piracy
Also they repack everything. I only learned about and played a game called The Weird Dream because there is a fitgirl repack of it. When I looked it up on Steam it had fifty or so reviews.

So what’s the thing that bothers you really? That people like fitgirl? She has been doing what she is doing for a very long time so claiming that she is the most sought after does actually make perfect sense. Some people are just weird and simping, doesn’t mean you associate that with fitgirl herself. And whether she is a girl or not is so unimportant but sexist. “I saw people cry”… oh really you did? Proof it.
