I don’t think it counts when the outcome of the war is that the winner becomes the new US. It’s always going to be a US victory regardless of which side wins.
They renamed one of their departments to the Department of War.
No reason for a Department of Defense if no one will attack us,but War, well you can do that proactively. Makes the Department more justifiable.
No they didn’t. Only Congress can rename the Department of Defense. Trump’s scrawled “orders” are meaningless.
It matters because it was all over the news and people now think that is what it’s called, not to mention the official government is saying that’s what it’s called.
The news is complicit in his actions. It has not legally changed names and no one should be using the illegitimate one.
