    The only people I know that have anything other than “neutral” to “negative” view of this shit are some idiot chud family members who are too stupid to be allowed an opinion on anything. Most people I talk to that aren’t actual leftist, either don’t care, or are the “thinks we shouldn’t be fucking with other countries when we have problems at home” types.

    The only people I see praising it are online and most of those I assume are fed bots pretending to be “leftist.”

      Same problem here, 'got really close family members that believe in all the imperialist propaganda. It’s not surprising, considering we’re a Latino Labor Aristocratic-to-Petite Bourgeoisie family, rather it’s just disappointing. Got really heated about it.

    I live in the barrio section of my city or at least what resemble the barrio and the Latinas here are indifferent to the Maduro kidnapping, most of them newly arrived as refugees so they keep their heads down and work their asses off. But one of them did raised a concern that what it would be for the future of Venezuela after the kidnapping even though she didn’t support Maduro. The working class Latinas do seriously concern about everything going on in their countries because they said Americans will do the same for other LATAM leaders.

    I have an oldish acquaintance from a friend group I used to hang out with a lot a few years ago. Yesterday one of them said in our old group chat that “we venzuelans needed US intervention”. A lot of their political takes have been pissing me off for a while and this is the final straw. Looking forward to dropping a nuke of a paragraph on them and cutting them off completely. Alas, maybe some of the others in the chat may overthink their liberalism but I doubt. At least it’ll be cathartic and I’ll have some sourced talking points for future discussions.

    I don’t know about “friends” currently, but someone I was friends with in highschool and follow in IG was gusano-posting all week. I think they might be part Venezuelan, but I don’t really interact with them. I post my commie propaganda in the hopes that they at least view it. Even if it pisses them off, at least theres engagement. People change sometimes and I would like to think I can steer that however small.

    Disagree. How do you think we should be promoting socialism in our lives? I think this episode of US imperialism is a great opportunity to talk to our relationships about politics. After all, we need more people to subscribe to our ML vision for a revolution to happen.

Every time I try to educate them they keep calling me a Russian propagandist. You can’t save everyone. NPCs will be NPCs before, during, and after the revolution.
