We’ve reached the point at which the evidence for a genocide is beyond denying. What we are seeing now is the manufacturing of consent for accepting it.
When history is written about this time there will be an entire field dedicated to trying to understand how a humanity more aware and more exposed to the crimes of its ruling class, than anytime in history, was able to remain so passively accepting of them.
It is almost like the media covering the crimes of our ruling class (genocide, pedophilia, imperialism) serves as a opiate for the masses. A misunderstanding that when these things are being covered that that means that someone must be doing something to stop them.
It feels like people aren’t waiting for the Dam to burst. It feels like they’re watching a storm approaching and just accepting (falsely) their inability to do anything to prevent it.
