A new study shows that a rising premature death rate means Medicare isn’t helping as many people as intended.
Pretty sure that depends on whose intentions we’re talking about.
Republicans definitely intend for that number to be higher!
I suspect the Republicans are deliberately causing as many deaths as they can among the many groups of people that in their view don’t deserve to live. It’s all part of the fascist purification of society, where only the strongest members of the master race survive and get to create future generations. (And as with the OG Nazis, when you look at their leaders none of them fit the template but they give themselves a pass.)
You’re not wrong. The end goal of project 2025 is to only leave 250,000 Americans left alive. That also how many billionaire there are apparently.
I haven’t heard that bit before, but it seems pretty important. Do you have a source for that figure?
Likely in project 2025 it self. I suggest reading all of it if you haven’t. Iv struggled a few times to get though all of it and have to set it down because it makes me too angry.
Frankly that claim isn’t even near the wildest thing in there. And barely nails a 2/10 on the bullshit scale. So I wouldn’t even be surprised if its true.
While we fixed Medicaid and made it so that the poorest are covered with no costs, the same can’t be said of Medicare, from what I have seen.
So even if they made it that far… Could they even afford it?
I’d love someone to show me that I am wrong. My mother makes barely $1300 a month from her social security and a lot of that money goes to paying Medicare costs. Even with the “Extra Help” program.
