The truth lies in the actual quote. She’s only saying that they need a backup in case he gets arrested or goes completely senile.

Its more akin to, ‘our evil as shit old guy is getting a bit too old to keep doing all the evil shit we want, we need another younger fascist dictator in play’.

Sadly for her, the only younger fascist they had in play was a complete dud and the rest of them were even more laughable.

Yeah the thing is trump is and was laughable until he was sworn in. Americans love to flirt with fascism, especially males for some reason. And if they are not countered we will end up with trump again or someone even worse.

It will never not be fucking hilarious that American Hitler was done in by rumors of him wearing lifts.

DeSantis went too hard on being a fascist too quickly. You have to trickle in the evilness to fool the republican voters.

I don’t think you have to fool Republicans in the voting for a fascist. They seem pretty comfortable with the concept.

Problem is I don’t think Trump will run a VP that’s a threat to him. Once they have a viable backup they’ll throw Trump away and let him go to prison or impeach him to pretend to have ethics. So desantis or Nikki Haley won’t be chosen.

      From the article :

While speaking to Beck, Kelly said she believed the Republican party needed to have an “undercard” in case Trump ends up jailed or unable to run due to his ongoing legal issues.

It’s interesting that you agree with a conservative commentator…

Yes, only stupid liberals would fall for agreeing with things like ‘if Trump isn’t the Republican frontrunner, someone else will be.’ What a gotcha you caught them in!

Oh they absolutely will. With Biden, they seem to selectively edit together clips of his minor speaking mistakes, with Trump they edit together the spots where he’s coherent.

    Ya think, Megan?

Although it’s pretty good when even the lady who insisted that Jesus and Santa are “just white” realizes Trump is demented.

Uh … yea, that’s exactly what they’re going to pretend. Thanks for asking. They don’t trust you either anymore, btw.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly said former President Donald Trump is not as “mentally sharp” as he once was.

Kelly moderated the fourth Republican primary debate hosted by NewsNation on Wednesday, which Trump did not attend.

While speaking to Beck, Kelly said she believed the Republican party needed to have an “undercard” in case Trump ends up jailed or unable to run due to his ongoing legal issues.

In a post on Truth Social just after midnight on Friday, Trump weighed in on the GOP debate and said that “the biggest loser was Megyn Kelly.”

Trump’s word blunders come amid the media’s fixation on 80-year-old Biden’s mental acuity.

A Washington Post-ABC News poll from May revealed that only 32% of respondents were confident in Biden’s “mental sharpness” being adequate for the White House.Biden’s campaign has taken to social media to redirect attention to Trump’s cognitive abilities, reported The Washington Post.

The original article contains 374 words, the summary contains 151 words. Saved 60%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Your candidate has worse cognitive decline than ours!!

I can’t believe this is the state of presidential politics.

Calling it now, he is found guilty but can’t serve time due to being “mentally unfit” to be imprisoned.
