A new study suggests that distressed borrowers using a simpler bankruptcy process are succeeding — and that more people like them should try.

The process which enables this was introduced during the Biden administration.

      I too have managed to be lucky enough to not suffer much hardship despite there being several recessions and a fucking pandemic since I graduated college, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to be an empathy-lacking prick about it.

        not paying back your debt so you can ‘live it up’ isn’t lacking empathy.

        most debt holders aren’t unfortunately victims of circumstance… they are people who took on debts and refuse to pay them back.
