A drummer and vibraphone player, [Chuck] Redd has presided over holiday “Jazz Jams” at the Kennedy Center since 2006, succeeding bassist William “Keter” Betts. In an email Wednesday to The Associated Press, Redd said he pulled out of the concert in the wake of the renaming.
Thank You Chuck Redd!!! You made the right decision. Stand by your decision, do not waver. You are an American hero!!
Also I like that they still refer to themselves as The Kennedy Center, even while criticizing Redd’s decision.
