Been binging The Resident on Netflix. I had no idea it would be so sad…

So watched Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter cartoon and initially I was like. Man I am really watching a little kids cartoon but then it gets dark at one point where its like. WTF! Not bad really overall. Still watching bates motel and still very impressed. I came in with low expectations and have been pleasantly surprised. I feel they did a good job of pacing so far. I think this is one of those things where its better not to go watch the original movie before you watch. Its easy to forget details that I think im kinda remembering and its making me wonder about the ending.

Saw Marty Supreme on Christmas day in theaters. Really great movie, probably my #3 of the year behind One Battle After Another and Sinners.

Also finished the Pluribus finale, was a good season, hoping they can keep it interesting and land the plane in future seasons.

Started Pluribus, which has been intriguing. Only stopped last night because big day today and I had to actually sleep. 😁

Watched the first episode of Fallout S2 and I think I’m done. It’s well produced, but I’m meh about continuing now. The show is just too close to this timeline. 😅

I watched Buginia knowing it was a risk. Poor Things was weird as hell and I enjoyed it. I had hoped this would be similar, but I was really disappointed. I wish I would reframe the experience so that I could enjoy it in part, but… Ugh. Nope. It just wasn’t a good use of time. 🛸

I finished Task which was a good watch. Ruffalo is great. I was worried when they introduced the child into the mix, but the Robbie character was a decent guy. Phew. 🚓

Nobody 2 was what I expected. Just dumb amusement. Wouldn’t recommend it, but not bad. 🔫

Started Fiona and Cake now that S2 is out. Oh how I love these cartoons. 💜

Randomly watched The Lincoln Lawyer last night.

There were time two decades or so ago when I assumed Matthew McConaughey was a romcom-only actor and had no range.

Watching this movie made me realize I’ve seen him in some absolutely amazing movies since.
