I’ve noticed this on Reddit a lot, but I guess it also happens on Lemmy. Group-think depending on the context is wrong.
People generally are against torture and for human rights. But if there’s a murder or a child molester, suddenly saying he should be tortured gets super many upvotes and saying you’re against the death penalty and torture in all cases gets you downvoted.
But idk, I’m kind of proud to stand for my principles
