      You can find cobalt almost anywhere its just really bad for people/the environment/living things in general to mine/refine so it gets sourced from places with regimes that don’t value human life. (This goes for most rare earths.)

        Focus, please. We were speculating whether there’s an ulterior motive to the US-led airstrikes and while Sokoto in Nigeria may or may not have Cobalt resources, at the moment it doesn’t have a significant Cobalt mining industry (professional or not), mainly because the mining industry in already established places outperforms most new attempts of mineral exploitation by price. I only say this, because we wouldn’t make such claims if it were in North America or Europe (e.g. ‘bombing Prague, to gain control over Alsatia’ or ‘Seattle for San Francisco’)
