James Ransone -- an actor best known for his role in the hit show "The Wire" -- has died ... and the medical examiner is pointing to suicide as the cause.
It has parallels with The Pacific, in that they do away with origin stories and exposition you’re already up to speed on from season one and dump you in another unfamiliar setting and that was just too jarring for a lot of people. But, yeah, season 2 is pure tragedy and as packed with details and connections as the other seasons. They write it so well, they make mundane work situations compelling.
