Although the show lost its initial shine it was still entertaining and I will watch it especially since I believe its going to wrap up both the boys and the gen v storylines.

I completely agree. The show peaked at season 1, when it was an underdog story of “normal people” VS “powered people” (sponsored by big Corp).

After “the Boys” started to get juiced up, the series de-evolved into tired trope of “if you can’t beat ‘em join’ em” sup VS sup.

Of course, it didn’t stop me from watching all the episodes and Gen V. … But I’m really looking forward to having this ride finally end.

It’s funny that in the original show they are juiced up and stronger than most of the supes on day one. MM is actually a supe on his own right. His original beef was that his mother was contaminated with V so his brother died when his powers appeared.

Vought estimated that if they were you fight, they boys would lose by a small margin, with heavy casualties in the 7 with only Homelander, queen and maybe noir surviving, so they have a “truce” of not direct aggression

They are still the underdog in terms of sheer numbers. In a full supes vs boys scenario it wouldn’t be a contest.
