Privacy stalwart Nicholas Merrill spent a decade fighting an FBI surveillance order. Now he wants to sell you phone service—without knowing almost anything about you.
I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that this is some sort of honeypot either, but I’d bet a shiny penny that LE is going to be working round the clock to get their hooks in to this service.
Really sounds like the back story repeating itself again with another name.

People are doing their best to discredit this service although it’s from an extremely reputable person in the privacy space.
That should be the real concern.

There’s no doubt in my mind they will. But they won’t have any information on the customers because the company is straight up not taking it.

That’s a pretty broad brush, and some serious FUD. There are a shitload of other projects at any given time that purport to do the same thing.
