And it’s not like war crimes have been off the table for US administration’s since… Well… Ever.
That being said, it’s usually not as blatantly unjustifiable. It’s usually mired in potentially valid justifications with the right perspective attached to it.
I mean we’re up to a dozen or more war crimes for blowing up random fishing boats or whatever.

well the ones before were crimes against humanity, while they pretended like it was a war… this one was a war crime even if it was war, which it isn’t
