I’ve been in court. A lot. I’ve never seen a seated defendant flanked by armed cops. When heightened security is called for, it’s present but not performative; it’s functional. The level of theatricality they use is nuts.
They only make him look more badass. I mean even his fellow prisoners yelled from inside the prison ‘free Luigi’ to protestor and journalists outside.
