    The turkey was ethically raised and harvested by a local farmer. I know that’s not as ethical as raw veganism obviously, but in fairness there is no ethical consumption under capitalism so I strive to exploit shit “less”. I will not, for instance, support the commercial fishing industry and I won’t eat factory farmed meat. That turkey had a pretty good life for a turkey, it was safe from non-human predators, it always had enough to eat, and the farm is huge with plenty of space to range. Even in death it’s sacrifice fed an entire family and nothing got wasted, which is more than most human beings do.
