Definitely sucks, but it’s exactly the reason I only book directly through the hotel nowadays. Anytime there’s an issue, hotel and booking site just blame each other. Leaving you shit out of luck.
This poor lady! I fucking HATE when I can’t book my $4,000/night room for the Formula 1 in Montreal! Like…grr! Y’know? My heart goes out to her in these trying times. It’s tough out there!
Did you read the article?
They clearly at least skimmed it since they referenced both the location and purpose of the hotel trip, and they are merely demonstrating that they don’t care their $4k reservation (2 nights) was an ‘error’. Are you nitpicking that they should’ve said $2k/night, or something else? What is your point? You’ve managed to say less about the article than them.
It was also four rooms. So closer to $500/room/night.
So really, not all that absurd a price, especially in a major metro area during a major event.
It’s a four room unit, not four individual rooms. From what i can tell these are luxury suites
Dont get me wrong, allowing the hotel to cancel bookings due to a “wrong price” after confirmation is shitty, but i don’t feel bad about someone not getting their luxury suite for the price they thought they got
