The Dutch military has opened fire at drones over Volkel Air Base, but no wreckage was recovered. The Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that security staff spotted the drones between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, prompting the air force to respond.
Hmmm. The Dutch military needs to offer a bounty pay bonus on any drone being flown over a base. Turn it into a target sport for their best marksmen.
There’s no way that could backfire…

If the pay is less than the cost of a drone, then the incentive either is null, or you become a specialist in low cost drones. Win win
what goes up must come down, you do that and there’s potential to hit surrounding occupied areas.
I mean the article says the military did just that anyway
I meant the bounty. Militaries have, or are supposed to have, the ability to check that they won’t hit anything if they miss. Randoms shooting down drones for a bounty aren’t necessarily equipped or incentivised to check.
No randoms… Military sharpshooters. Their best marksmen. Not Joe Public.
I see. Hm.
