    You also pull up your pants before washing your hands. If I were a germophobe, I’d be terrified of the two spots I grab to pull my pants up after pooping.

            Hands go near butthole. Hands now unclean. Unwashed hands grab sides of pants. Pants now unclean. Wash hands. Pants still unclean.

            The part you’re missing is the irrational part: the instant and binary transfer of unclean-ness on contact.
