Any institution that cares for children needs to have strong checks and policies to protect children.
Catholics just make it easy by being so organized
Non Catholic denominations have the same or worse pedophilia problems. Much harder to discover because they’re decentralized and small.
Apply the same logic to the abuser. Disable them so they have a trauma to carry for life and tell them to forgive and forget.
