Doing the 4th round of laundry at the moment. My old washer broke down 3 weeks ago and the new thing had some delivery issues. Gave the delivery guys 20€ tip for carrying a fucking washing machine on their backs up to the 3rd floor!(we don’t have an elevator). And the old thing back down, absolute monsters.


Carried on their backs? Do they not use carrying straps? It makes moving appliances a breeze.
I was suprised as well, since there are very serious laws about work safety with this stuff. Insurers don’t like it either. But it was due to the narrow staircase, they couldn’t use the barrow so they decied to powerlift it in record time.
When I had my washer and dryer delivered, the delivery guys had chest harnesses on. They just clipped the straps on and walked up the stairs like it weighed nothing.
