It’s a nice platform. I like the attempt at including microblogging into it but it seems to be a forgotten feature that isn’t fully integrated. Mbin works well as a Lemmy alternative but a mastodon alternative it is not, which is a pity as it’s the only way to sanely view anything mastodon related.
I think this format could be even more fun if the primary image was the shaded out version, and then you put the image with the colored icon in the body of the post so you see it when you open the post :P

For years there used to be one single holdout left - an instance in Poland with <100 active users - but yeah, it seems gone now, with its last ping being September 2025. https://kbin.fediverse.observer/list
