I didn’t like him as a person (in game of course), but I always like having companions in games that I don’t see eye to eye with. It’s way more realistic than, for example, Dragon Age Veilguard, where everyone is your buddy from the get go and “don’t you dare try to say anything mean to my little character I spent a lot of time lovingly crafting!” is what I assume the devs were thinking at the time.
